暁の車 – Miku Mix

Hatsune Miku Akatsuki no Kuruma After a week of fiddling around and playing with Miku I managed to get this piece done. It was quite difficult for me since I havn’t had any musical training since…2003? And even then I wasn’t that great ^^; It also doesn’t help that my Japanese isn’t all that good either~ I’m not sure if I’ll be doing any other Miku renditions of songs, but who knows, enjoy this one XD

Vocaloid Idolatry

Moé Idolatry Article Hatsune Miku Infatuation, something that happens to everyone, but with a virtual “identity” is something that doesn’t. I’m not sure if this is relevant to any of you figure lovers but I’m in love with Crypton’s newest entry, Hatsune Miku. Before I start, I’m going to explain a little bit about what all this about. So if you’re not into music then just look at the pretty pictures XD

Xmas came early!

GOOD APPEAL!! Japan Packages Today, I got what I wanted for a whiiillee~ I have a friend who’s staying in Japan for a year on the JET program (teaching english etc). Now, he’s also a fairly obsessive otaku and a kind one at that, he’d get stuff that I wanted from Japan that would otherwise be unavailable, or too costly for me to get.Today two packages came in the mail from him :3 This is all the things he managed to get for me during that whole summer event period in Japan, I wish I had given him more money… Again, apologies for crappy indoor shots~

Here We Go!!

Producer-san!! iDOLM@STER Collection Part 1 Yesterday I received my package of iDOLM@STER trading figures, I’ve been waiting for these for a while. As soon as I saw the post office’s red and yellow package card in the mail box I immediately rushed out to the postie, it was close to closing for the day by the time I got there ^^; For the photos you’ll have to excuse the terrible lighting, I still don’t have a proper indoor figure lighting setup…

New poll, future updates

Admin Updates A quickie, New poll is up. Judging from the previous poll, 1600×1200 sized photos are fine with you guys, so I’ll keep it like that :3 I’ve been wondering if I should put a tutorial on weathering small trading figures such as Mecha Musume to make them look more “real”. Some techniques should be familiar to military modelers and to a lesser extent Gunpla modelers. The new poll will be asking if you want to see a series of short and sweet tutorials, I’m not an expert either but I’d like to help if I can. In terms of future updates, Manifest is around the corner, and I’ll be taking some of my figures to take photos around the beautiful Melbourne University campus. You see, Manifest is my excuse >.> Anyone else going to Manifest? Or is there anything else you’d like to ask about the possible Mecha Musume tutorials?
