Happy Valentines

Been months since last update.
Here’s why, I was in Japan.

Bought a few (tons) of goodies, and of course, new stuff for my lil dollfies.

Since it was Valentines yesterday, I would of preferred to post this up then, but I was busy with work.
I admit, I rushed these photos, which is why there’s only a few. Not to mention the photos were indoors too, kinda not my forte :P
Hopefully I’ll be able to get an outdoor shoot one day…

I’ll be a new co-writer here on moeidolatry.com!

As fellow avid Dollfie Dreamer, I will also bring in my pair of beautiful girls who I’d like to also introduce; Ran & Yukari Yakumo. And from their many years of travels, living through many ages of the world, they are willing to share their adventures and knick-knacks with you lovely readers.

I myself will be helping to cover pop culture events like Manifest and Supanova by sharing photos and writing about my expeditions at the shows.

A little about myself? Well… I guess you could say I am a large fan of kemonomimi (mainly Kitsune/Fox) girls, along with kuu-dere, onee-sama and motherly anime archetypes who posses various voluptuous assets heheh… ^^;;. I tend to be a cool and level headed in most situations, I’m not afraid to voice what I think and can be a real critic when it comes down to my passions which are Dollfie Dreams, anime and pop culture.

With this I leave you some of my creations, an image of Yukari surrounded with only a fraction of the collection accumulated over the lifetimes she has seen through, Ran Yakumo looking ever so warm and sweet, and lastly Sakura Matou at Rayong beach in Thailand from one of my first ever shoots.

A Maiden’s Illusionary Funeral

“Gensokyo, a land sealed in times of conflict, cut off from the ever modernising world. A land where fantasy and reality collide. A land of boundaries. The land of illusions.”

16th April was the day of the MelCosPho 6, an event held every now and then to cater for the desires of Cosplayers and Photographers to have a day out. As the name implies, this was the sixth and the gathering site was the Carlton Gardens/Royal Exhibition Building on the outskirts of the Melbourne CBD. Rinka and I decided to bring our lovely ladies to the gathering to take a few snaps in the autumn weather.

It’s been weeks since the human named Evelyn fell into our world. She does not know of how she came, nor why. Perhaps she is a victim of my master’s doing?

A curious girl, she asked how does a mushroom taste. “Have you not tasted them in your world?” I replied as she leaned on the tree. “No, I haven’t tasted anything ever,” her eyes fixated on the fungus she held in her hand. Never tasted anything? Is she even human?

As we lay on the endless autumn grass, I thought to guide her to the human village. The warmth of the land filled me, I sighed as I slowly drifted into a nap.

“Like master like servant” I heard before I floated to my dreams, how did she know of…

mini photo report

For those who don’t know, Supanova is a pop culture expo held across Terra Australis. Last weekend was Melbourne’s turn to hold the event.

I managed to take a few photos here and there, I was mainly busy with events and helping out OzAnimart.

Of notable mention, Yuko Miyamura (Asuka of Evangelion) and Tiffany Grant (Asuka of Evangelion… in English) were in attendance. One of the highlights was getting signatures from them on various merchandise. They both held a Q&A session too, and Miyamura-san even performed a line from Asuka as she fought the mass production Eva circling over Unit 2. No photos of them tho, apparently not allowed to take photos with them ;_;

Anyway, below are some random photos, I’ll be uploading a photoshoot right after, which is not exactly the sort of photoshoots I normally do…

Managed to get my girls some gifts in my busy schedule ^^;

Hope they like to share the bear too lol.

I thought about getting them cake, but I think I’ve been feeding them too much of it (in other words, I think I’ve been having too much cake…)

They look like they enjoy the bear :D
Though, will they share it nicely or not…?
Will I need to buy another bear? =/

Arturia seems to like the hearts, and Evelyn is quite content with it…even if she pretends not to.

Anyway, for those singles out there (technically me…), happy singles awareness day!

Dollfie Dream mini-gather

Today was quite eventful :D
A few friends decided to bring their dollfies along to mingle with each other, naturally I decided to let one of mine come along too. The location? OzAnimart, a lil anime store in Melbourne Australia.
Evelyn has visited OzAnimart before, so I guess it’s Arturia’s turn to socialise.

As I wasn’t expecting any photos, I didn’t bring my regular gear, instead I had to make do with my lil old faithful, the Nikon Coolpix P2 snapshot camera.

I borrowed Will’s dollfie’s black wig and tried it on Arturia, the result was pure sex (well… I thought so).

The next few photos include the other girls. DDDy Yoko belongs to a friend, and Aisha (DDDy Kanu) belongs to Will.

So ya, overall a fairly fun day, always feels nice having friends who are getting into dollfies :3

The girls were also quite a hit with the customers who came into the store, one of which thought they were on sale XD

22nd January was the date for @Can (Atcon), a small convention in Melbourne, Australia.
That was also the date my friends, Rinka and Maroon Beret, accompanied me in our S2 Café butler outfits. Our goal: to have a dollfie photoshoot!

Rinka carried Saori, I carried Arturia and Maroon Beret was in charge of the photographic equipment load. The plan was to rendezvous at my place before moving out to the CBD. It was a hot day so we were in for quite a trip of painful walking and fanning ourselves with moé Japanese fans…

We arrived at the point and scouted the immediate vicinity for potential photo opportunities. LZ were found and we set up the tripod and equipment, ready for war!

Well anyway, it turned out alright :3
Unless of course, someone decides to have a poke at what’s going on.

Oh look! It’s Arturia’s birthday already~? :D

Although she’s technically younger than Evelyn, I’d say she’s the more level headed one… until you talk about food.

If you remember the original post “Return of the King” (which you don’t I guess :P), it was back in 2009 when I received my second. It feels much longer than that for some reason. I remember the day I saw her on Volks’ DD website, there she was, Saber Alter. It was practically love at first sight, I wanted to get her, I HAD to get her.

Thus the request to my friend in Japan to travel to Doll’s Party. Unfortunately he had a Japanese test to go to and needed to concentrate. My heart skipped a beat as I realised I might not be able to get her. Surprise, the After Event was announced and my friend could make it. Now, he travelled through the bitter winter morning in Japan, driving through the snow to the train station. He lined up at a Volks SR and managed to get ticket #2, and was the first guy out as he had literally spent every spare yen he had (he even had to sell a figure at an anime shop to get enough…). Thanks Hectic :3

So here we are, two years later. Oh, here’s your cake Arturia!

I got a feeling Evelyn isn’t gonna be happy that I wrote more about her sis… ^^;

Haaaappy biiiirthday~

Today is the day I managed to get Evelyn, all those years ago.

For those regulars (hah) here, you might remember this post all those years ago.
It’s a wonder that it has been three years since she first appeared in front of me.
